Lakeview Hospital is a growing, vibrant member of the Stillwater community. However, that was not the first impression the main hospital entrance gave, but rather an impression of a tired, out of date facility. Not only did the lobby appear worn, guests were confused and had to walk what felt like a mile before reaching the reception desk where someone could help them. The recent remodel changed all of that – now guests are greeted with a friendly concierge at the door, who directs them to their destination.
The lobby is now infused with natural light from exterior windows and skylight above, which enhances the warm white and jewel-toned colored walls. A richly tiled floor leads from the entrance to the bistro, gift shop, and private admitting area. Families wait in cozy alcoves off the walkway which are outfitted with comfortable seating, a fireplace, and a grand player piano. This remodeled lobby now offers patients and visitors the ability to plug-in and work in the bistro, have a family conversation in a waiting node, or enjoy lovely music from the piano in a bright and welcoming space.
