Job Summary:

In this Architectural Designer role, you will be working with the design team to produce and develop conceptual designs into presentation and construction drawings. You will also be interfacing with clients to determine and develop architectural solutions as well as working on multidisciplinary project teams.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develops and creatively design concepts for clients/projects.
  • Work with Project Managers, Sr. Architects and Principals on design issues and determines and develops architectural solutions.
  • Develops, modifies, and reviews production drawings and construction documents and corrects and updates documents as required.
  • Develops solutions for basic to moderate design problems.
  • Assists with master planning, site planning and building planning and design efforts and documentation development, utilizing 2-D and 3-D modeling and digital presentation packaging.
  • Provides creative design suggestions during the conceptual and schematic phases of projects.
  • Performs design computations, specifications, compile data for basic to complex architectural assignments.
  • Collaborates with Principals, Project Managers and other team members to advance the design concepts.
  • Assists in the construction administration phase by reviewing shop drawings and creating a master log of the project submittals, as well as answering Request for Information (RFI) and Supplemental Information (SI) and preparation of change directives.
  • Prepares finished material sample boards and graphic presentations for client approval.
  • Reviews building codes to ensure that designs comply with minimum legal standards.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor of Architecture degree with at least five years of architecture and design experience. Master of Architecture preferred.
  • Pursuing certification to become a Licensed Architect preferred.
  • Experience with site planning and zoning analysis a plus.
  • Construction administration experience a plus.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit documentation, production and coordination, with an emphasis on 3D presentation.
  • Ability to plan and design with 3D software program, i.e., Sketch-up, Lumion, etc. a plus.
  • Ability to plan and design creative and effective design solutions in a fast pace environment.
Architectural Intern

This position will work with and under general supervision of Principals, Project Managers and/or Sr. Architects to develop and creatively design concepts for client projects. Leads the design efforts by producing and developing conceptual designs into presentation and construction drawings.

  • Prepares and produces CAD drawings to create and document architectural designs.
  • Interfaces with client on design issues and determines and develops architectural solutions.
  • Develops, modifies, and reviews production drawings and construction documents and corrects and updates documents as required.
  • Develops solutions for basic to moderate design problems.
  • Assists with master planning, site planning and building planning and design efforts and documentation development, utilizing 2-D and 3-D modeling and digital presentation packaging.
  • Provides creative design direction during the conceptual and schematic phases of projects.
  • Performs design computations, specifications, compile data for basic to complex architectural assignments.
  • Collaborates with Principals, Project Managers and other team members to advance the design concepts.
  • Assists in the construction administration phase by reviewing shop drawings and creating a master log of the project submittals, as well as answering Request for Information (RFI) and Supplemental Information (SI) and preparation of change directives.

  • Coordinates or assists with outside disciplines such as Civil, Structural, Electrical and Mechanical and other consultants with the architectural designs.
  • Reviews building codes and conducts zoning analyses to ensure that designs comply with minimum legal standards.
  • Works closely with Sr. Architects to obtain knowledge on architectural design concepts.
  • Ensures timely and effective management and delivery of drawings to ensure project goals and objectives have been satisfied.
  • Mentors associates and other staff members on architectural design concepts to create a learning and growing environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor of Architecture degree with at least five years of architecture and design experience. Master of Architecture preferred.
  • Licensed Architect required.
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry preferred. 
  • At least two years of experience managing multiple project activities within the architecture industry.
  • Ability to design with and proficient in #D software programs such as AutoCAD Architecture, Revit and Sketch-up.
  • Experience with site planning and zoning analysis.
  • Construction administration experience a plus.
  • Solid level of architecture and organizational skills.
  • Able to manage multiple projects at one time.
Administrative Assistant - Part time
Minneapolis, MN

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for providing administrative support activities, assisting with front office area and performing receptionist duties.  Work schedule and hours would be Monday-Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Welcomes clients, consultants, vendors and others to the Firm and assists them throughout their visit.
  • Prepares and edits documents such as contracts, business correspondences, reports and other documents.
  • Assists Principals, Project Managers and other management staff with projects, documents and reports.
  • Assists with the distribution of large mailings and other marketing materials to clients.
  • Assists in updating and maintaining the client contact list/database.
  • Coordinates schedules and ensures conference rooms are available.
  • Supports and updates Principal’s meetings and schedules.
  • Orders lunches for meetings and social gatherings.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least two years of administrative office experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint software applications.
  • Ability to prepare reports, business correspondences, and other documents.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients, vendors, regulatory representatives, and others.
  • Basic problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changes in the work requests or environment.
