When The Goddard School sought to expand its presence in Edina, MN, Mohagen Hansen Architecture | Interiors was selected to reimagine and transform an existing, unoccupied two-story building into a vibrant, nurturing environment for young learners. This 10,551 sq. ft. renovation was more than a facelift—it was a complete transformation designed to inspire curiosity, foster creativity, and provide a safe, engaging space for children from six weeks to twelve years old.

The design thoughtfully integrates nine dynamic classrooms, a flexible multi-purpose room, a conference room, and administrative offices, as well as essential support spaces, including a kitchen, laundry, and restrooms. Each element was carefully planned to support The Goddard School’s mission of delivering high-quality early childhood education, incorporating both structured learning and play-based discovery.
