Integrating Care: Northfield Clinic Expansion
Northfield Hospital & Clinics envisioned a facility that would seamlessly integrate family practice and women's health services under one roof. The goal was to enhance patient convenience and operational efficiency while maintaining a warm, welcoming environment. Mohagen Hansen collaborated closely with the healthcare system to design a space that supports comprehensive care and fosters a sense of community.
The 18,600-square-foot clinic houses both a Family Practice Clinic and a Women's Center, featuring a combined total of 28 exam rooms and 3 procedure rooms. Shared services, including blood draw, injection, x-ray, mammography, ultrasound, and lactation consulting spaces, promote streamlined operations and improved patient flow. A thoughtfully designed first-floor link connects the outpatient clinic to the main hospital building, facilitating easy access to additional services and enhancing overall efficiency.
