Loram Maintenance of Way: Industrial Excellence with a Global Reach

When Loram Maintenance of Way, a global leader in rail infrastructure optimization, needed a new home for their manufacturing, warehouse, and distribution operations, the solution needed to reflect both their precision-driven approach and international impact. As one of Loram’s seven global locations, this facility was designed to support the company’s role in delivering track maintenance and inspection services to Class I railroads, short lines, and transit systems throughout North America and beyond.

Mohagen Hansen was engaged to design the building shell of this purpose-driven, spec industrial facility which was crafted to meet Loram’s specific operational needs while allowing flexibility for future evolution. The facility includes loading docks with overhead doors, providing efficient access for both inbound materials and outbound distribution.

The exterior design concept prioritized both performance and brand presence. The building’s façade combines durable and modern materials, including brick, precast concrete, aluminum composite panels, and metal accents. These materials were selected not only for their low maintenance and longevity, but also to present a sleek, professional image that aligns with Loram’s innovative spirit.
