Beacon Spoint Store Space
Jacksonville, FL
Located in Jacksonville, Florida, this four-level climate-controlled self-storage facility was designed for an independent development group seeking to bring a fresh, modern approach to the region’s storage market. Mohagen Hansen Architecture | Interiors led the planning and design of the 121,700-square-foot facility, tailoring the project to meet both the functional demands of storage and the aesthetic qualities of the Florida coast. The resulting design balances convenience, durability, and visual appeal in a sun-soaked environment.
Inspired by coastal architectural elements, the facility’s design integrates functional features that respond to Florida’s intense sun exposure—such as deep overhangs and strategically placed sunshades. The project incorporates established brand standards while introducing regional touches that anchor the facility to its local context. All four above-ground levels offer climate-controlled storage with unit sizes ranging from 5x5 to 10x30 feet, while the first level includes an office, retail space, and a shaded, covered area for loading and unloading. To complement the building, the site includes a secure, adjacent surface lot for RV and boat storage, offering a comprehensive storage solution for both personal and recreational needs.
