Refreshing Tradition: Reimagining Community at 7500 York
Mohagen Hansen partnered with 7500 York Cooperative in Edina, Minnesota, to reimagine and enhance the senior living community’s shared spaces. With a focus on evolving resident expectations and staying competitive in the senior housing market, the project brought a renewed sense of vitality and comfort to this well-established cooperative. We’re excited to share that our collaboration with 7500 York continues—we are currently working with the client to further update and refresh the facility.
The renovation transformed more than 10,000 square feet of common areas, including a 1,684-square-foot social room, into warm and welcoming environments that support community connection and everyday living. Mohagen Hansen worked closely with the cooperative’s design committee, utilizing detailed renderings to bring the design vision to life and gain consensus among stakeholders. With residents at the heart of the process, the project demanded thoughtful coordination with building management, the City of Edina, and HUD to ensure the final outcome honored both regulatory requirements and the unique character of the community.
